12:40 was a landmark project from the National Opera Studio and Second Movement, working with 40 creative artists to create twelve brand new operatic arias. These arias were then brought together into one production at London’s Hoxton Hall in June 2018.
Each of the arias was composed especially for its singer, who was involved in the creative process since the outset. The arias are designed to demonstrate the individuality of each singer’s vocal talents, and will be used in their audition repertoire for years to come.
Further information about the project including a film of all twelve arias in performance at Hoxton Hall recorded on 15th June can be found here.
12:40 was produced in partnership with Second Movement and in association with the Librettist Network with the generous support of the Nicholas John Trust.
